Twenty Jun ware ceramics from IRL collections permuted and revived in collaboration with @wheatatreat. Collectors of our exhibition, 'Jun ware', will receive a 1/1 work of their ceramic mint free.
Often breaking auction records or the subject of surprise attic discoveries, Chinese ceramics are highly prized and collected. First created during the Northern Song dynasty 960 - 1279, these jun ware vessels strike the balance between ancient and contemporary both in form and colour, reflecting the period of technological innovation during the Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties.
ARTIST: @wheatatreat's first NFT offering The Phantone Project, a collection of 100 unique postcards in her pointillism style can be found in the some of the space's most respected collections, having also been exhibited at K11 Start Gallery, Hong Kong. For this capsule collection inspired by MoPAr’s jun ware ceramics, the 1/1 works are digitally-drawn, revived in her signature style with a gradient background that reflects the glazes unique to each ceramic piece.
COLLECTOR'S ACCESS: Primary owners of this collection will be invited to learn about jun ware Chinese ceramics from Andrew Lueck, VP Chinese Works of Art specialist at Christie's. Having worked in the Asian art auction business for nearly two decades, Andrew is responsible for advising top collectors and institutions throughout the country and globe and has brought to international auctions notable fine Chinese works of art for sale.
