I did not know Remedios Varo’s artwork « Papilla Estelar » before starting working on the permutation, and I’m happy I got to know this amazing intricate piece of art. I tried to reimagine the piece while keeping some of the key aspects. The artwork’s melancholic atmosphere somehow made me think of Saint Exupery’s « Little Prince », and that’s how I imagined a woman trapped in a cage on the moon, watering a flower with star dust, which carry the message that how bad your situation might be, there is always hope.
