Papilla Estelar inspired me in two ways: the feeling of isolation and entrapment and the second of transformation and betterment- I leaned towards the latter! I felt in tune with the woman helping to shape the fabric of the cosmos and used the moon in my painting to represent female power and energy, using that energy to transform the universe for the better. Butterflies, synonymous with change represents my character floating among the cosmos trying to transform the universe for the better! I am not a surrealist artist myself but I enjoy looking at the art as it is so thought provoking and reaches untouched horizons. Like Varo who was influenced by her childhood journeys, mystifying stories from her everyday life, I also take inspiration from my childhood and turn them into lo-fi like illustrations!
